Meet Charles Dudley
After 22 years in the Marine Corps and 22 years as a minister, Charles T. Dudley is taking his lifetime of service to the next level -- to serve North Carolinians as Senator from Beaufort, Craven and Lenoir counties.
His Story
Born in Louisville, Ky., Charles served during Desert Storm/Desert Shield. He returned to eastern North Carolina when he left the military, to Havelock, Gateway to Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station. His wife Marion is a pastor and an eastern North Carolina native. Charles serves on the boards for Coastal Community Action (including HeadStart), the Craven Community College Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and Craven County Sheriff's Advisory Council. He is a tax commissioner for Harlowe Fire Department. A three-term 1st Vice President of Craven County Democratic Party, Charles is a much-sought speaker and go-to person for fundraising, event setup and other party matters.
